My cousin Cindy is actually 4 years old (at least that’s the way I picture her), so when she started her own photography business, I was impressed beyond impressed. And then, when she agreed to write a post for me, I was struck by just how she is and how clear her ideas about photography are. Enjoy!
Photography– what does it mean to you? It can mean a lot of different things to different people. For some people, like me, it is a passion and a way of life. I love being the one behind the lens capturing every special moment. Sometimes those moments can be as big and as special as somebody’s wedding day, and then other times it can be just a day in the park with family. That is the joy of photography, seeing the happiness in some one’s eyes and turning it into a memory in their heart forever. It is a great feeling when you see the face a person that you just helped preserved every special moment.
Sometimes the small things that you may take for granted end up being the ones that get cherished the most. Then when you are looking back through the old photo albums and you just think to yourself… That is why I am a photographer.
These days life goes by so fast people forget to sit back and relax. They get caught up in the everyday routine. Then one day they realize, man where has the time gone? I myself was like that until I had my first son. Then I told myself that I was going to try and capture every special moment on camera. Kids, they grow up so fast, and before you know it, they are in school and then they have a family of their own.
That is why I take my job so seriously and put 100% into every picture that I take because you never know what God has in store for us tomorrow. So don’t let time slip away.
