What Doesn’t Kill You – The Saturday Video
In ten hours, over 500 people will take to a track here in Central Virginia to strike a blow against the disease that has taken so many from us, that steals years and health and overwrites the memories of laughter, sometimes, with the memories of bald heads and labored breaths. It is easy to be overwhelmed and sad and sorrowful in the face of cancer.
But today, at the Relay For Life of Fluvanna, we celebrate. We celebrate survivors and the years of those who have died. We celebrate our prayers for a cure and our ability to help while we wait for one. We celebrate hope.
So on this special day for me, I give you my favorite video of the year. Let it inspire you . . . for we are never given more than we can bear up under. Never.
