from today’s 1,000 words about the farm.
I feel like this place is going to teach me a lot about responsibility. About doing what needs to be done every day even when I don’t feel like it. In our culture of convenience, it’s so easy to not do something because we can do it later or because it’s not really necessary. But I think we lose something when we take the easy way out. We become prone to easy, and that makes us lazy and fat and judgmental.
So today, I’m choosing to embrace the hard – the look forward to the days when my head will throb me to the point of nausea and I will still go out and feed my little pygmy goats and brush the pyrenees. I am choosing the see these days as opportunities to prove what I can do even when I don’t feel like it.
