Weed Control Workshop – May 4

Weeds are any plant growing where you don’t want it to grow. — Woody Cumbo

If you’re like me, one of the most tedious parts of tending a garden is managing to keep the weeds from overtaking the good stuff before you get to harvest the good stuff.

In this workshop, Dad – a trained horticulturist – will offer suggestions about how to control weeds – from the simplicity of a hoe, to the process of installing weed barrier, to the benefits and drawbacks of chemical herbicides.

We’ll do a little hands on work in my own garden just so everyone can “practice,” and then we’ll share a potluck meal with a bonfire and stories.

So mark your calendars for May 4th at 2pm.  All are welcome.

Suggested donation – $15.
