This morning, I just wanted to tell you that I hear you.   92572754

I hear you when you tell me you feel left behind, alone, angry.

I hear you when you say you are sad beyond words, that life has smacked you down just now.

I hear you when you tell your stories about poverty, abuse, neglect, and all the ways that life on this world fails us.

I hear you when grief washes over you with tears that buckle your body.

I hear you.

So much of communication seems to be about argument or answers or questioning experience.  Or at least that’s how it seems in my world – my conversations often virtual.  But here, in this space, we can discuss, we can disagree, but I want you to know that I will always do my best to hear you, to listen deeply.

I will not try to fix. I will not try to advise.

But I will listen.  Anytime.

Feel free to reach me through the contact page here or if you’re on a computer, you can write to me through that little box that pops up at the bottom of the screen.  Catch me on Facebook or tweet me a note. I have no agenda, just availability.

Write to me about anything –  something I’ve said here that upset or resonated with you, a question about writing or books.  Just write to tell me about your life in this moment.

I’ll be hear, hands, heart, and ears open.
