The End of Summer On the FarmLeaves are beginning to decorate the driveway, their yellow outlines like pieces of sun fallen to earth.

A signal, a symbol? of a passing season.

I’m thinking about changes a lot these days – about the way we embrace them or brace against them.

I’m a fan of change – the way it cleans out the detritus of apathy, the opportunities it brings – and yet, I have seen a lot of change in my life – moving, relationships, death.  I’m ready to settle in, sink down long and deep.

Still, I’ve learned that letting the wind carry me – a leaf on the journey – is wisest, best. . . plus, the view is pretty incredible.

How do you respond to change? Do you fight it or love it?
